The issue with equality.

Currently our country has been debating on equality; specifically on whether same sex marriage should be accepted as constitutional or not, and if these unions should be considered equal as those of male female unions. However, it seems to me that the equality these debates is aiming for is the one that will declare men as having similar authority to that of God, as to change laws created only by Him. I believe that men should change laws made only by them, and which have been proven themselves to be imperfect, but, can man think of himself equal to God as to change natural laws established by Him?
Matrimony is an institution made by God as the basis of creation. If you don't want to be that spiritual, a psychologist will tell you that the institution of family, that formed by a man and a woman, is the basis of society. If people don't believe in God, at least they would agree that nature itself institutes procreation through male and female, in what are called natural laws, and that this ensures the survival of the human race. Some other laws, the ones that regulate humans as social beings, are men made and have been proven throughout history to have errors. Because men have the ability to be corrupted, the law created by them is flawed, therefore allowing for changes and amendments of that same law.
On the other hand, if laws are created by God, then they are divine, perfect and necessary; therefore with no need of change.
If his is so, I dare to say that it is my impression that men is turning into a blasphemous being in thinking of himself as having equal authority to that of God.
What do you think?

  2. "that men is turning into a blasphemous being in thinking of himself as having equal authority to that of God." Couldn't have said it better myself, brother. Thanks for this. I think Idolatry is very rampant now days. We gotta keep praying for this fallen world.

  3. The pretension to take away a fundamental right, such as the right to spend your life with the person you love and rise new life with that person, is a barbaric atrocity, comparable only with racial or religious persecution, and this is a fact, not an opinion.
If your God commands you to forbid other human beings from being happy, I am sorry to break it to you like this, but then your God is actually a fascist dictator... this is also another fact, not an opinion.

  4. Hello "Anonymous". First of all I want to thank you for taking the time to read my blog and commenting. Regarding your comment, I want to let you know that the purpose of the article was specifically on the issue of men trying to change God instituted laws, not on God forbidding people to be happy. There is a lot of people out there who do a lot of bad things, and get thrill and happiness from them; that doesn't take away the fact that those things are morally wrong and condemnable under the law, both God's and men's. You have to excuse me if I don't use examples, because I know that if I do, I could be accused of comparing homosexuality to other things more socially unaccepted.
It is also very interesting that you mention "religious persecution" as a way of taking away fundamental rights. I don't know if you have noticed, but people who disagree with homosexuality, mainly religious people, experience the same thing, and everyone seems to be ok with it; they are accused of "barbaric", medieval, bigots and the like, just because they have a different point of view. Moreover, if Homosexual unions were part of "fundamental rights", they would have been established naturally, but they can't because they cannot "rise new life" (correcting your statement).
There are some universal laws established by God (Not lying, not stealing, not committing adultery, etc), anyone who breaks these laws will face God in the day of judgment, just as it would happen if you were to break a civil law.
Once again, I am really thankful that you read this blog (I am being very honest), and I hope it is not the last time.

  5. Sorry to tell you Andres, but religious views are indeed barbaric... the archaic idea that there is a magical being which judges our "moral" behavior is absolutely moronic, it can only fit in weak minds with no capability of rational thinking... let me explain to you why:

First of all homosexuality has actually been observed in the natural world (you should read more books other than the bible), and who are you or any of your mythological views to tell us what life is about when you state that the purpose of love is to create new life? in a superpoluated world what sense does it make to even make more children? on the other hand, who are you to regulate how other people feel and sense love? These are some of the reasons why people call you "barbaric": because if you think that you can somehow put a moral label on someone who wants to live differently than what this moronic (and highly unprovable) god supposedly says that we should live, that is a barbaric act!!! I don't see how you cannot understand this? if you are unable to understand this simple fact, then we must conclude that your religious fanaticism has made you a moron, and I tell you this with all due respect and honesty, in the same way you wrote me back, so maybe you can open your eyes to the hard fact that your position, and the position of the millions and millions of morons who hold to a senseless religion, or imaginary gods, is a barbaric position.

just think of this: maybe homosexuality is the natural way of limiting overpopulation... this is only an idea, which might be true or not, but my point is that the only way to see if this is really the case, then we must look for the answer by using our reason, science, reality, instead of a useless myths and superstitions which, by the way, are nothing more than a modern version of the "sun cult" already existing since the beginning of humanity (again, I recommend to you to investigate the world beyond the limited views offered by the bible)

To be honest with you, I feel okay with religious people feeling persecuted when picked on by stating their archaic views, because this is the only effective way these archaic views will cease to cause so much suffering among human beings... besides, if you are willing to negate basic human rights to a set of humans, is only fair that you be called barbaric, I don't see why you thing you can complain when people call you like that since this is what you are!!! is like calling a religious fanatic a moron: these are the same thing! mindless zombies believing lies from a magical book without the intellectual force to question their beliefs: this is the description of a moron and a fanatical religious person... so deal with it!!!

  6. “If one does not understand a person, one tends to regard him as a fool”
    ― C.G. Jung

It is interesting that an individual that professes religion to be barbaric and followed by morons is so interest in a menial blog dedicated specifically to them. It is also interesting that for one that accuses religious people to be inhumane oppressive individuals to want to oppress them using the same methodology. Anna Freud called that projection. Your attitude and state of mind reminds me of certain historical event that took place to silence religious people, the Holocaust. The definition of a moron is one who does not have the cognitive ability beyond 12 years old; seeing that the title of this blog is “Christian Professionals” it is presumed that most of the individuals who read this blog probably are pursuing or have baccalaureate education and must have read other books besides the Bible. Your facts seem mixed with a lot of assumptions and opinions, which weaken your argument expressing your thoughts to be absolute.

  7. I dont understand why you again post the definition of "moron", I do agree with you on this point... You must have the cognitive ability of a twelve year old to believe blindly that there is a magical being of love that will love you only under the condition that you surrender all aspects of your existence to him... So yes we agree then.
The titel of this blog is also for me quite puzzling, what is a proffesional after all? Televangelists for instance are very proffesional in the art of ripping people off by taking advantage of their blind fanatism... I doubt however that the physicist who discovered the Higgs boson would take much interest in the childish ideas from a fanatical preacher.
I take interest in this blog for the same reason people slow down to see a car accident... I find it facsinating to see how fanatical nutcases hold on to their infantile fantasies by denying reason and existence by every mean! Is just entertaining as it is sickening.
You acuse me of having the same mindset of the Nazis by assuming I would like to eliminate you physically, or deny you of some basic rights (as you you would surely do with gay rights), but all I want is to schock you by telling you the truths you do desperately deny to yourselves... I do want to erradicate religions, but not by denying some rights to some people, but rather by appealing to your reason and human sense of justice. Let God be God, if he exists at all, and let humans be human, for I know that we exists.

  8. Hey Mr. Pragmatic anonymous, let me show you your hypocrisy. Did you know that homosexuals have a shorter lifespan. It's well documented, please don't say prove it, because we'll both lose time and miss the bigger issue. Homosexuals live 8 to 21 years less than non-homosexuals.

Next, why are homosexuals so promiscuous? Here's some stats for you Mr. Pragmatic, why do approx. 25% of homosexuals have on average 500 partners in their lifetime? Why do another approx. 25% have 1,000 or more partners? We don't see this kind of promiscuity among heterosexuals.

This is tragic. Homosexual people are demon-possessed and their behaviors prove it. You my friend, without knowing it, are on the Devil's side.

Answer these 2 paragraphs and we'll go from there. (I know Andres personally, and he is not a moron. He's a thinking person and if you would put aside your bias, you might learn something)

  9. Hello "anonymous 1", "anonymous 2", and "anonymous 3". First of all, thank you for commenting. I would really appreciate if you either subscribe to the blog, or just put a nickname in your comments. "anonymous 1", I just want to tell you a couple of things regarding your last comment.

    1. I really want to encourage you to read the Bible as a historically significant book. Especially I would like you to read John 3:16, Palms 7:11 , 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, and 1 John 4:19.... All these verses talk specifically about the doctrine of God's love towards people, which you seem to have misconceptions about.
    2. The Higgs Boson, or presumptuously called "God particle" which supposedly has been found after more than a couple trillion trials, still needs to be studied a little longer (As you might be informed) to fit exactly the physics model predicted. If they are successful in recreating it, that doesn't proof the inexistence of a creator. Remember that a creator, in this case a scientist, actually put it together (with a couple of billions of dollars and a lot of years working!).
    3. I would really appreciate if we leave room for future blogs in which I will be addressing individual issues such as the ones that have come up in the comments.

To all anonymous, I ask you that in your comments you can be very assertive without being aggressive. Please keep that in mind.

  10. Hi you both,

I would like to address the issue about how homosexual lifestyle has shorter than life expectancy as an heterosexual lifestyle: so what? you are no-one to regulate the lifespan of anybody except your self. If homosexuals want to remain homosexuals despite your "facts" (which are only a sick fantasy of your fancy), they are not children in need of your petty advice!, each of us knows what we do and how we do it... if you where so worried about lifespan of other people, why don't forbid cigarettes? why don't you forbid riding cars? why don't you forbid eating at McDonald's?

You are clearly a low-IQ religious fanatic, so indeed trying to discuss anything with you is a waste of time, since you are not capable of generating thought of your own... you are a wasted brain... sorry to break it to you like this, but that is a fact.

Andres, I have read the bible, this is one of the reasons I consider it to be nothing more than mythological literature describing nothing more than the "sun cult" which the old Egyptians had already described with their mythological literature. I do recommend you to stop giving this very ordinary book a value which does not have... for the bible is nothing more than the astrological transliteration of the journey of earth around the sun, nothing more and nothing else. Why on earth do you ting that Christmas is celebrated at winter solstice and "resurrection" of the sun-god is celebrated at the beginning of spring, the actual "resurrection" of the sun after winter on the northern hemisphere, where these old religions flourished? have you stopped to wonder why churches have a clock on their towers? the reason is that religions had the task of keeping astrological time trough the ages, before the invention of modern calenders and time measurement...

The artificial value which has been given to the bible, and the fictional figure of Jesus, serves only those in power, the holders of the "truth" to keep you a thought slave, a slave of myths denying you of reason, keeping you a child in your mind, making sure you are unable to use logic to understand the world, but instead fooling you in the lie that only they can show you what life is and how you should live it, when in reality, your life is yours alone, your sexuality, is yours alone, and it is your right to shout to them in their face, dismantling the lies they have told you, and live your life as you feel it should be lived, instead of being told how to live it, free from taboos and magical thinking!

I don't have misconceptions about god, because I am certain that god is nothing more than a colorful fantasy of human folklore, telling me that I have misconceptions about god is as if you told me that I have misconceptions about Santa Claus!!! both of these are imaginary beings existing only in your vivid imagination!

Since you are having trouble keeping the anonymous apart, you can call me "the reason" in your replies.

    Regards,

    "The Reason"

  13. Hey "The Reason". Here's the link of "my sick fantasy of my fancy" of homosexuals having a shorter lifespan: http://ije.oxfordjournals.org/content/26/3/657.abstract
This is just one study. There's more.

This is devastating. If you are a homosexual I don't mean to offend your free choice to be whatever you choose to be. If there is no God, then it doesn't matter, like you said, "they are not children in need of your petty advice!, each of US (this is how I assume you are a homosexual) knows what WE do and how WE do it..." Therefore, let me give you an argument for the existence of God, because if there is a God, then it matters.

Premise #1: Everything that begins to exist has a cause.
Premise #2: The universe began to exist.
Conclusion: The universe has a cause, and the most reasonable cause is God the Creator (other causes require faith, such as Big Bang, but are unreasonable, ie. Something coming out of nothing. Poof! Magic.)

Of course, this is called the Cosmological Argument, made famous my Christian philospher William Lane Craig (reasonablefaith.org). It's one of the most powerful arguments for the existence of a Deity. In order to attack this logical syllogism, you will need to attack one of the two premises. I will await your response. If we accept the possibility of a supernatural Deity, then all other supernatural events, such as miracles, creation, and prophecies are at least possible.

The Bible is a self-contained, self-proving Book. Let me give you one example. You might appreciate this, since you've read the Bible. Isaiah 7:14 says, "Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a VIRGIN SHALL CONCEIVE, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel." The book of Isaiah, regardless of whether you're an atheist, agnostic or unbeliever was written 700 years before Jesus came to exist. By the way, in the account of Jesus' life, it says in Matthew 1:23: "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us." The Reason, this is just one of many prophecies that are in the Bible. Please don't be hostile toward the God that is proven in the Bible. You seem like an open-minded person. At least consider the possibility that there could be a God.

I noticed you did not address the stats of approx. 25% of homosexuals having 500 partners and approx. 25% having 1,000 or more? Again, this is heart-breaking. Such promiscuity is not comparable among heterosexuals in such proportions (25% having 500 partners, 25% having 1,000 partners). It's degrading to human decency because we are not to be used as sexual objects, we are meant to be monogamous. It's a sign that something demonic is present. I'm being this bold because of the anonimity of this forum, but I ask you sincerely, please consider these claims in light of reason.

I apologize for calling you Mr. Pragmatic. In my zealousness I overlooked the bigger picture that you have a human soul that will one day be in the presence of Almighty God and give an account.

    Signed,
Christian by the grace of God
